Tech-Dry is continually carrying out research and development on innovative earth building protection products in Australia. Our product range includes water repellent sealers and admixtures, and dust binders suitable for all earth types.

EARTHAID is used as a water repellent admixture for Tech-Dry Earth Render System. The resultant earth renders exhibit good surface beading and low water absorption. EARTHAID also provides early water repellency to prevent wash-down due to rain or dew contacting the render before cure. Water penetration through earth renders is significantly reduced.

EARTHSHIELD is a solvent-based silane/siloxane water repellent binder designed for earth buildings. EARTHSHIELD penetrates into the first few millimetres of the surface providing excellent water repellent and dust sealing effects against natural weathering without significantly changing the surface appearance. EARTHSHIELD is suitable for all types of earth structures including mud brick, pressed mud brick, cement-stabilised earth and rammed earth structures. It is best used for exterior walls or rendered earth structures, but can also be useful for interior walls in areas like kitchens and bathrooms where wet conditions are expected.

MUD BRICK WATER REPELLENT (MBWR) has been specifically designed to weatherproof all types of earth structures. MBWR penetrates into the first few millimetres of the surface of the wall, making it water repellent. This invisible water repellent zone dramatically reduces the absorption of water while still allowing the free passage of water vapour.

STABILISED EARTH WATER REPELLENT SB (SEWR-SB) is a traditional hydrocarbon solvent-based silane/siloxane water repellent that has been specifically designed to weatherproof stabilised earth structures. Impregnation of SEWR-SB to earth structures will prevent water damage such as damp walls, formation of cracks due to expansion and shrinkage, erosion, formation of mildew, moss and lichen, reduced thermal insulation properties and increased heating costs.

STABILISED EARTH WATER REPELLENT WB (SEWR-WB) is a water-based silicone emulsion impregnant which has been formulated to weatherproof cement stabilised earth structures. The product is designed to penetrate into the surface of the stabilised earth and make the first few millimetres of the substrate water repellent. This water repellent zone dramatically reduces the absorption of water through the surface while still allowing the free passage of water vapour.

EARTH BINDER is an aqueous acrylic emulsion which has been specifically formulated to be used to dust seal, make water repellent and strengthen the internal and external surfaces of earth structures. It can also be used as a primer for mud brick homes before rendering to strengthen the wall surface and improve the adhesion of the mud render.

EARTH BONDING EMULSION is an aqueous PVA emulsion which has been specifically formulated to be used to dust seal and strengthen the internal surfaces of earth structures. A diluted solution of EARTH BONDING EMULSION is used to dust seal and strengthen the surfaces of friable earth structures to increase the abrasion resistance of the walls. Walls treated with EARTH BONDING EMULSION will show significantly less dusting than untreated walls. EARTH BONDING EMULSION can also be used as an admixture in mud renders to significantly increase the strength and adhesion of the mud render.

PLASTICURE is a solvent-free aqueous silicone emulsion. It is designed to be used as an admixture during the manufacture of stabilised earth products. The use of PLASTICURE enhances the intrinsic quality of stabilised earth products by reducing the damage caused by weathering-related water uptake and efflorescence.
